When you purchase UA Office Link software modules, tools, or an UA Office Link subscription license then we open a UA Office Link product account for you and store your e-mail address in encrypted form into into a database. The UA Office Link account is used to register licenses or administer your subscription by communicating with the UA Office Link Cloud Service. You can request to remove your account by contacting

UA Office Link Cloud Service

We are operating the UA Office Link Cloud service that you may use in conjunction with our products to send real-time data to the service or to receive real-time data from the service.

Data security

The service uses TLS (Transport Layer Security) for all data connections to and from the Cloud and you can optionally apply end-to-end encryption to real-time data.

What data is stored in the cloud

When you activate your cloud subscription then an anonymous machine identifier (a number generated from your computer’s properties) and your account e-mail address is sent to the service. Your e-mail address is anonymized (hashed) and is, together with your machine identifier, encrypted and persistently stored into a database while your subscription is active. Similarly, e-mail addresses of users that you authorize to receive real-time data are anonymized, encrypted, and stored persistently into a database. Subscription account data is removed from the cloud service within 40 days after your subscription has expired.

The latest snapshot of real-time data received from your data source is stored in an in-memory database while the data source connection is active and is removed as soon as the connection is dropped. End-to-end encrypted real-time data remains encrypted while in memory since the passphrase for encryption/decryption is never sent to the server.

Where data is stored in the cloud

Our cloud servers are located in the USA.

Real-Time Data Cloud

Real-Time Data Cloud is an Add-In for Microsoft Excel that acts as a client for the UA Office Link Cloud Service. Users of Real-Time Data Cloud may sign in to the service by either using an UA Office Link account or a Microsoft account. The user’s authentication token including their e-mail address is sent to the service to validate the request for service.

Subscribers of UA Office Link on-premise applications may authorize users of Real-Time Data Cloud to receive real-time data sent by the subscriber. While the user is authorized to receive data, the service stores the user’s e-mail address either in memory or persistently in anonymized and encrypted form. The e-mail address is not shared with third parties and is removed from the service once the user is no longer authorized to receive data.

You can optionally sign up for an UA Office Link account to authenticate against the UA Office Link Cloud Service. If you do so, then we will store your e-mail address in encrypted form into into a database. You can request to remove your account by contacting us.
